The Switch version was later included in the Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Pack compilation. The game was also released digitally for the PlayStation Vita in Europe (on February 14, 2013), Japan (on March 19, 2013), and North America (on April 23, 2013), for the PC worldwide on May 25, 2015, and for the Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 16, 2019. The changes from XX Accent Core Plus were later brought into the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of that game as a free update (on Augfor the Japanese PS3 version, on Octofor the 360 version, and on Mafor the North American PS3 version). The fourth and final revision of the Guilty Gear series' third main installment (after Guilty Gear XX Accent Core), XX Accent Core Plus R includes the two hidden characters Kliff and Justice as playable characters in the arcade version (rebalanced and unlocked from the start), as well as an updated HUD, several new Force Breaks and other techniques for many characters, other balance changes, and a new set of color palettes (each based on characters from the BlazBlue series). It was also released digitally via the ALL.Net P-ras MULTI Version 2 service on March 14, 2013.
